Reparations are Coming with Obama

To a large extent this presidential election is about racism and reparations. Make no mistake about it, Obama, who carries a black chip on his shoulder, is a socialist, and his skin color has made it easier to assume this political position of wanting to spread the wealth around. And he means over the world not just the U.S.

Reparation, of course, is the idea that blacks should be given income to account for the fact that their great, great grandparents were slaves. One would be foolish to say there is no racism left in America, but opportunists who harp about it all the time to squelch the free speech of whites who make critical remarks about blacks have exacerbated the problem. Obama is in fact a racist, but we can’t talk about blacks who are racist toward whiles. So there is no discussion on that topic.

Only during resent weeks have I come to realize that racism will become a major bludgeoning weapon once Obama gets behind the bully pulpit. This tactic, of course, will provide Obama a tremendous amount of power because all resistance will be met with, “Racism.” Those who serve in Congress already lack the courage to be combative, so they will be push-overs once Obama takes charge.

Sadly we are headed toward more socialism (we were already going that direction) and Obama’s exaggerated emphasis via the race-baiting will make it worse. Furthermore, this type manipulating of people of different races will only delay progress in race relations, and tragically will put many black people in a worse condition just as President Johnson’s War on Poverty did.

Smart Blonde Drops Smart Bomb on Biden

Barbara West of WFTV Orlando ask Joe Biden some questions that were very reasonable to reasonable people, but caused Democrats to go postal. The Obama campaign has been playing in the Pee Wee league getting softball lobs from mainstream media types since the day Obama began campaigning. This time out on the playing field it was big league questions for the man who wants to be vice-president of the greatest country in the world, and he couldn’t handle it with any dignity.

West asked Biden if he thought Obama’s comment to spread the wealth around was a Marxist idea. That was like a smart bomb that was a direct hit to the Obama crowd. Within hours of the interview the WFTV Channel 9 station in Orlando was notified that there would be no more interviews given to that station until the election is over. That interview was then pulled from the station's web site, but you can still find it on You Tube. A link can be found at hotair.com.

Well, well, if the wimpy men in Congress and in the big media can’t play hard ball just let girls like Sarah Palin and Barbara West step up to the plate more often and watch them do the job that the sissified men will not do.

While this incident is funny on one level it is very serious. Let us recap for a moment what has happened during the past several weeks. A team of about 30 lawyers went to Alaska looking for dirt on Governor Palin after she was selected the VP candidate for the GOP. Then Obama approached Joe the Plumber during a campaign stop where the two had a discussion about Obama’s ideas for America. After the plumber essentially made a fool out of Obama by pooh poohing the idea that his hard earned money should be spread around to others, then Joe became the target of a massive garbage inspection in an attempt to discredit this ordinary guy.

It is a short leap to understand that people running a campaign that tries to trash ordinary citizens and stiff arm businesses is likely to be a literal nightmarish machine once it acquires the highest office in the land combined with a Congress and media as willing co-oppressors.

The hound dog that yelps

If you throw a rock into a pack of hounds it is easy to tell the one you hit. It will be the one that yelps. In my lifetime I have never seen the likes of yelping hounds like we have witnessed since Sarah Palin was selected as John McCain’s running mate.

Sarah struck a chord with conservatives and she struck like a rock the media hounds who are so liberal. She is a Christian who did not abort her Downs syndrome baby Trig. That knowledge about Palin is like hitting a liberal hound with a rock. If Palin were no threat, there would be no yelping by the media hounds.

While I cannot prove it, I think the Trig factor is the primary factor irritating the yelping media hounds. Trig is a constant reminder that he is a precious child, a gift from God, loved by God and loved by his Christian family. It reminds the yelping media hounds that deep, deep down there really is a God who does not approve of abortion, fornication that leads to most abortions, or any sin for that matter. The Christian life that is manifest so well by Palin is what hurts the media hounds so much they just have to yelp, or as the Bible states “The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; (Psalm 37:12)

While Palin draws huge crowds the liberal news outlets yelp about how she is not qualified, she is a drag on the ticket and McCain just showed a lack of judgment by selecting her. If she really were a poor candidate the yelping hounds wouldn’t be giving advice how she could be a better candidate. As it is they are terrified that she will not only help elect McCain, but she in fact may become president sometime in the future. Pardon the pun, but in the thinking of those yelping media hounds, heaven forbid that a woman like Palin would become president. My, my, my if Palin were president women’s reproductive rights would be set back to the stone age, or at least back to the time when coat hangers were invented. Furthermore homosexuals would have to hide in closets and pretend they are married.

Shuckey Darn Ellie Mae

According to a report in Politico the Obama campaign does not have high hopes for getting a lot of votes in my great state of West Virginia. For starters, Hillary won over Obama 10 to one in the WV primaries. The report said expectations are not high in West Virginia because of the large percentage of whites, old people and poorly educated.

Well, well, well, us 1)dumb, 2)old 3)white people in West Virginia are just not sophisticated enough to vote for some liberal socialist/communist/Marxist who wants to spread the wealth around, so ultimately we will all be poor.

Does that suggest we would vote for a guy who wants to “spread the wealth around” if most of us were young here in the Mountain state? Would we likely vote for a Marxist if we were highly educated? (unfortunately that could be a great big “Yes.”) Are they suggesting that if there were more black people in West Virginia that Obama would get more votes? Does that mean black folk would vote for Obama just because he has dark skin?

Shuckey darn Ellie Mae, everbody can see that I’m old and white so do ya wrekin I orta vote fer Obama soes people’ill think I’m smart?

Joe the Plumber Reminds me.

Joe Wurzebacher, aka Joe the Plumber, gained national attention when Barack Obama explained his economic plan to Joe. Obama, like many liberals, probably spends most of his time scheming ways to deceive the voting public. Joe saw through the pol-speak and called Obama’s plan socialism. In his own words, after considerable bloviating, Obama said he thought we should “spread the wealth around.” Sounds like Joe correctly assessed Obama’s ideology.

In the Youtube video of their conversation Obama admitted he would consider a flat tax, but said it would need to be about 40 percent in order to meet the needs. WHAT NEEDS? The monster government with the monster appetite, that’s who. How pathetic a situation we are in that the government is robbing the people to satisfy the politicians’ lust for power.

Joe reminds me of one reason I left the university environment 26 years ago. After 20 years of either going to college or teaching college, I decided I had had enough. Enough of what? Several things, but I’ll only highlight one aspect. I disliked working around a lot of disingenuous people who thought they were so superior to those who had less education and/or a occupied a lower rung on society’s ladder. The arrogant elitism of those who really had practically no regard for the welfare of the students they were supposed to be serving sickened me.

Most of the elitists I speak of on the college campus included those in position of leadership and those who desired the same. Then there was a fairly high percentage of the faculty who did not aspire to gain power, but were quite content to use their cushy job for a paycheck while basically doing very little for a 30-year career while whining all the time that they were not paid enough.

Joe the Plumber reminds me of the sincere, hard-working faculty and staff who did their best knowing they would never receive much reward for their efforts since the system was not designed to reward such people.

I remember what one faculty member told me once about serving on university committees. He said, “There are two ways to get off of a committee; don’t do anything, or try to do something.” Life as a university professor could be great if you were willing to “go along to get along.” Elected officials and bureaucrats love the little dumb lemmings who flow with the masses without injecting an ounce of critical thinking.

Fortunately, since I left the college campus I have found many more people who I admire, people like Joe the Plumber. They are likeable people who lack status such as a congressman or college professor, but they will stop and help you if are broken down on the highway. They know most of our politicians are crooks, but are too busy minding their own business, helping their neighbor, shuttling their kids to ballet or ball practice, serving in their church congregation and local civic groups so that they do not have time to spend the hours of research to find out what potentially disastrous plans their congressmen are hatching up in Washington, D.C. that ultimately strip us of our liberties and place us into deeper bondage to a corrupt body of elitists.

To Mr. Wurzebacher I say “Go Joe, Go! “ Perhaps Joe, you could serve on Sarah Palin’s cabinet when she becomes president.

First it was Sarah, now it’s Joe the Plumber

This continues to be an interesting presidential campaign despite the poor candidates in the forefront. Along comes Sarah Palin, a lawyer, NOT; an Ivy League grad., NOT, a northeast elitist, NOT and among others NOTS she was not a Washington insider. Hard work, hard decisions and a commitment to represent the average Joe made her a hit with people all over America. Here are a few of the feeble attempts the liberal elites have used attempting to discredit her.

• She kills wild animals for food
• Her husband got a DUI ticket 22 years ago
• She fired some guy
• She approved the shooting of predator wolves from airplanes
• She wore a white outfit at a campaign rally which showed she is a racist

It makes one wonder how on earth could McCain have picked such a lousy person as his VP running mate.

Joe the Plumber arrived on the scene at an Obama rally. Hussain tried to gain points with his wealth redistribution speech. Joe didn’t like the idea of working hard for money that could then be redistributed to many who do not work. Joe literally burst on the scene with multiple interviews because he made it clear our country is headed in the wrong direction with its socialist actions via elected officials.

Like Sarah, Joe seems down to earth and able to articulate his beliefs that just happen to resonate with many Americans. It provides me with more than a few laughs when I see a plumber and a hockey mom who so easily agitate the elites in this country.

What should McCain say?

I understand the seriousness of a presidential election year, but I still find it a bit humorous to listen to people on the radio talk about what John McCain should say during his campaign speeches and debates. Most people who do this have some valid points as to what should be said by McCain, but I have a better idea for those people who would like to speak in McCain’s ear. Grab a 50-foot rope and try pushing it into the next county.

As every month, every week and every day goes by it is so obvious that Barrack Obama is nothing short of an anti-American man who could very likely be our next president. I know the frustrations of those who love America, those who are aware of our Christian heritage, those who believe in free enterprise, individual responsibility and who are able to recognize that Obama and all his associates are socialists of the hard-core variety. I share some of that frustration, but I also know you can’t take a housedog and make him chase a bear up a tree. (No, that is not racist; I didn’t say it was a black bear.)

The 73-year old McCain is who he is. He is a poor candidate, and those of us in fly over land cannot micro-manage him. He calls himself a maverick. I call him a troublemaker. He challenges members of his own party more than he does the other party. Is he the lesser of two evils? Yes. Is that a reason to vote for him? For many, yes. For me? No. I call the next four years a loss regardless of which of these two wins. I plan to vote, but not for either of these two. An Obama win may help us wake up within the next two years and then elect more Republicans to counter the disaster Obama will create. A win by McCain will signal all those RINOs that Republicans can be liberal and win. Right now it appears that both parties are liberal.

Sarah “of-the-people” Palin versus Joe-blow Biden

Could there be any greater contrast in American politics than Sarah Palin compared to Joe Biden? Start with the smirk/smile of Joe compared to the beautiful friendly smile of Sara. Okay, smiles and smirks may not be the important stuff of politics.

Sarah is “of the people”. Can you picture Joe Biden as your neighbor? Wouldn’t he be such a great guy to have over for conversation so you could hear him talk in braggadocios circles? And a lawyer with more than 35 years experience as a Washington politician. Wow, how average American Joe is Joe Biden?

I have never seen any high level politician who I can identify with like Sara Palin. In my state, my representative Nick Rahall is in his 17th term. Senator Robert Byrd has been in D.C. forever, maybe longer. No one has been there longer. And, take a look at our Senator John (Jay) Rockefeller? He moved to West Virginia and started spreading the Rockefeller money around the state giving tens of thousands of dollars of money to various colleges. He sure had a way of winning the hearts of voters. He did a fantastic job of working with grandpa’s money to get to be one of my state’s senators. These three guys are not exactly “of the people” type guys.

What is not to like about Sarah? She doesn’t need some bumper sticker slogan like Change and Hope, Straight Talk Express or some other meaningless, deceptive rhetoric to fool the people into thinking she can relate to you. She does relate. People can identify with a woman who has worked hard all her adult life. Her accomplishments via hard work, honesty, and integrity, plus her desire to purge those who lack such qualities from their seats in government are to be greatly admired and rewarded. Thank God for giving us a lady for such a time as this. I look forward to the day she is promoted to the high position she deserves.

Feed That Hog Another Bushel of Corn, We Need More Pork

I’m not very smart, but I have to wonder why recovery from a financial crises can only happen if one increases the debt.

Picture this; heavy flooding in your neighborhood was so bad that water poured into your basement rising to a level of four feet. Since you think the government is responsible to help, you place a phone call and tell them you need someone to bail out water from your basement. You are told that all your neighbors will need to get a bucket brigade to bail the water out of your basement. The government official tells you they will help out in some other ways. (Grab your wallet.) The next thing you know the government sends a fire truck over to your house and pumps 10,000 more gallons of water into your basement giving you and your neighbors an even larger task.

A few days ago the sky was falling and members of Congress told us collapse was inevitable if we taxpayers didn’t pony up about 700 billion dollars to bail out a bunch of crooks. Next thing you know the Senate tacked on pork projects to the tune of about 150 billion dollars. So if this is settled in this fashion you and I and neighbors across the country will be saddled with an even greater bail out. Again, grab your wallet when you hear the government is going to help you.

Political Pragmatism versus Principles and the Palin Factor

The presidential race this year is interesting despite the fact McCain and Obama are the most unqualified pair to face off for the top elected office in the world that any of us has seen in our lifetime. Senators are not known for their expertise as administrators, and I don’t think we have had two senators running for president against one another any time during the past 100 years. Any who have been observant know that both McCain and Obama are products of biased media that influenced the voters.

Despite the criticism that Governor Sara Palin is not qualified for Vice President, she has certainly had more executive experience than McCain, Obama and Biden put together. Her record of challenging and winning against corrupt political and business types in Alaska is praiseworthy.

Lost is this year’s discussion, is the issue of illegal aliens who have been pouring over our borders at the rate of about 4000 per day. Obama doesn’t talk about this problem and neither does McCain. Why? They both obviously favor letting illegal’s come here. Why? Good question!

Last week I saw the transcript of a TV ad that McCain showed in about four states. I also heard the video; it was in Spanish. A few days later I heard the audio of a similar ad Obama had that was also in Spanish. Those born in this country should comprehend English by the time they attain voting age. Those who become naturalized citizens are supposed to be proficient in English. So, this all begs the questions, 1) Why are these two candidates showing TV ads in Spanish? 2) Are these ads directed at illegal aliens? 3) Why should either of these men be trusted to lead our great country?

My vote will be in protest to the media, and to both candidates. Most likely my vote will be a write in for Sarah Palin, a woman of courage, integrity, a rugged frontier type (bring home the moose and fry it in a pan) with a git-er-done attitude. Her ordinary background speaks to the masses. Her father was a teacher and her mother was a school secretary. Sarah was not born into politics, did not marry into it and she doesn’t have a law degree from some Ivy League college.

Her husband Todd, is a commercial fisherman, a union oil field worker, and champion show machine racer, a real he-man lacking the perfume and $400 haircuts of the metro-sexuals on the east coast. Todd and Sarah have five kids including a Down's Syndrome baby boy Trig, reflecting their family and pro-life values. What’s not to like about Sarah Palin. Go Girl!
Home. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
Church. When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation.
(1 Corinthians 14:26)
Culture. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight.
(1 Corinthians 3:19)
